Matthew Sedivy is an American musician, singer-songwriter, record producer, recording engineer and composer. He serves as the sole-member of his musical project SEDIVY and operates SEDIVY Productions, a full-stop, creative music company specializing in custom scores for advertising, film and television.

Starting from the simple love of playing guitar in his childhood home in Virginia, Matthew’s obsession of creating music grew from recording with a 4-track tape machine in his teens, to becoming self-taught with Logic Pro in high school, to eventually running and operating a multi-million dollar recording studio in his mid-twenties. 

After graduating with a degree in Music Industry and Classical Guitar Performance from James Madison University in 2014, Matthew’s career took a side-turn as he moved to Las Vegas, NV to produce and operate a comedy show at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino. During this period, Matthew continued to privately progress in his writing and production skills, with a single-focus of releasing his third, self-titled album, SEDIVY. 

With a quiet “chip-on-the-shoulder” obsession to learn the emotional, creative and technical aspects that make music great, Matthew would eventually be hired in 2019 as the recording engineer for Imagine Dragons, providing both engineering and production to their 2021 double-album release, Mercury (produced by Rick Rubin), including a one month recording stint at Shangri-La Studio in Malibu, CA.

With a natural cinematic character to his music, Matthew began having several placements in digital advertisements, eventually leading him to scoring custom music for national brand campaigns, documentaries and films. With over 15 years of scoring experience under his belt, Matthew's love of production in modern music gives him the flexibility to produce in any genre, while his classical background continues to be the cornerstone of all his creative endeavors.
